Snow Cruiser and Emperor...

Post by teddybeer »

In 1/144 scale, the Snow Cruiser is produced in resin by the manufacturer BS Design (now out of production), either alone or in combination with the Beech Staggerwing.

History shows that the Beech Staggerwing was never transported by the Snow Cruiser as intended by the designers of the machine, because in use it proved too heavy (sinking into the snow...), incapable of climbing slopes of 35% and of making long journeys only in reverse.
More info on the beast here :https://144airbattle.blogspot.com/2025/ ... art-1.html

So I chose to present the Snow Cruiser alone, and in its Antarctic setting, with few traces of snow, despite the snow removal carried out by the crew after the night's snowfall...
But I felt it was missing an element, inseparable from the South Pole...

So, inspired by the photo below, and as a Corsican, a compatriot of Napoleon, I decided to accompany the Snow Cruise with an Emperor.

But, an Emperor Penguin...

Well, don't be too picky about the penguin, I still have a lot of progress to make in terms of animal modeling....

Wonderful!

I visualise your penguin, clearly the first to arrive at the scene, with a thought bubble.................'the lads will never believe that a bright red whale has turned up on the ice.........................'
