A loving fairwell

As usual the Neomega kit is lovely. Now cast not just in resin and PE brass but a lot of 3D printed parts. Now, I'm not quite sure I like the 3D parts as they tend to be brittle and need very cautious cutting out and some of them are TINY. Also, there are some parts that could have been added to the 3D parts list. IE:the mizzenmast shrouds. However, that would probably add to the cost and take away some tricky modelling.
The reason I decided to build it as "Jeanie Stewart" is because it's a North Shields boat that went missing in 1938 and it's owners were "Irvin, Richard & son" (my surname is Richardson) and I'm a Geordie. (talk about connections!) so using only 1 photo and a news item I found online it was on with the build.
The boat was displayed as if leaving on a fishing trip for "the Silver Darlings" with a mother and daughter on the pier waving goodbye to their husband/father

Lovely build and a particularly poignant diorama setting. As usual the waterwork is excellent.

modelling and art combine - and a superb job too sir. It is a joy to see that the vignette is no longer just the preserve of the armour and figure modellers
