Thank you Malcolm, that's very kind.
I used a black base primer and went over with a red oxide primer then sealed it in. Then hairspray, and layers of colour to build up the coloured layers - greys on the hull sides and metal colours on the decks.

Das Boot

I had a crack at the Revell Type VIIc. I'm not a ship/boat builder so this was something completely new for me but it's been a really enjoyable project. Any comments, tips, pointers would be very welcome!

Hi all

I recently picked up the Academy F4. It's - ok. The shape is pretty good but it's a very basic kit. Anyway, the decals - they seem to be quite interesting but they are for a very obscure aircraft, and I can't find any photo references for it, so if anyone has any images of Phantom AF70 287 ...

The one that got me started

Hi All

I'm a new member to the group, I got drawn in after visiting the SIG144 stand at Telford and got chatting. I quickly picked up my first model and had a crack, so here it is, the Hawker Hunter.

Loads of fun, thoroughly enjoyed it - hope you do too.
