RNLI Type B Lifeboat. Atlantic 85
Messing around in my stash I found this rigid inflatable hull, I do not know where it came from, but I thought I could make it into a RNLI Type B Lifeboat, “Atlantic 85” as it appeared to be close enough for a 1/144 model. All it meant was to scratch build the superstructure parts & add a crew. Sea base made with my usual method of PVA glue & toilet tissue and painted using enamel & oil paints.
Finished as the local lifeboat at St. Bees "Joy Morris B-831" The result was quite satisfying and only cost time. and the fun continues.
That's 4 lifeboats I've made in the past 2 years. 1x 1/48 2x 1/72 and now 1x in 1/144.
