Thank you “Keithley” for a great show. This is my view of a great day out. Tim somehow arranged an extra bit of space for our SIG so that all attending and wanting to show off the SIG,s building efforts to anyone attending the show was catered for. For my part I was given almost 3 whole tables which I hope I put to good use, however it was too small to display all I had brought so I placed my model of the “Revenge” on the competition tables. I was so busy with the members of the public and other club's members wanting to know about different things of the models I had on display that it took me one and a half hours to eat a small meat & potato pie! It also meant I forgot to take any Photos. Now that's not a complaint as I meet some interesting people and that's why we were showing off our models. I had my youngest grandson with me, so he also displayed some scenes and also entered the competition where he won 1st & 2nd in the class he had entered. As I was placing the “Revenge” on the competition tables I meet a member of the “Merseyside branch who was also entering two really nice boat models, Ken was his name, and we got talking ship models as you do! The result of the competition was I took 1st in class for the 2nd year running (this time with a 1/144 model) with Ken coming a really close 2nd However I would not have minded losing to either of his boats.
Thank you “Keithley” for a wonderful day and to Emma for getting me to judge the “Keithley” table. May the fun continue.
