Another good day out for the SIG. The Stoke show is a long term fixture on the circuit and marks the start of the autumn season.

I brought a selection of aircraft and armour vignettes.

With two new scenes only completed on Saturday morning.

Emma's new Downton Abbey inspired 1920s scene attracted a lot of comment and interest.

Image

Mike and Huw's vast selection of types never fails to impress, really showing off the range that is available in 1/144. The trio of Backfires and Orions were particularly attention grabbing.

David's B-17 family showed that even the antiquated Crown kit cab produce some decent and varied results, although not without some hard work.

A fun show and well attended with lots of curiosity around the table as usual. The event is moving to a new venue next year, hopefully as successful.

A great show - being held in one hall on a showground very reminiscent of the much-missed 'Newark' shows

Like Tim a number of my exhibits still had wet paint but we managed to field-trial the new hexagonal bases (long story - see 'sometimes you get lucky on KG144)

Huw's B-36s never fail to impress - not least that he built two of them !

Orion trio. L to R My old LS version, Huw's incredible TomyTech 'Super Gashapon, and his about-to-be-reviewed XPlanes new-tool.

New for the show - the Ukraine grouping again featured old and new toolings - two Litaki and one Minicraft Tu-22 Backfires

Some fantastic new offerings from everyone there which I’m looking forward to seeing up close before too long. Well done!
