Keighley 2024

Here's a rather belated report of the Keighley show which we attended on the "Two-shows" weekend in September. At the show were David Hart, David Ferrari, Malcolm Richardson (plus grandsons x2) and myself. Tim and Emma were both present but rather tied up with being part of the organising team. We had a great location at the entrance to one of the halls and Tim had negotiated us an extra table so we had a giant 18 foot frontage, - which initially caused some head-scratching of how were going to fill it.... In the event, I think we put out practically every model we had.
As always we had a lot of interest during the day, - Malcolm's ships proving a real magnet, and there seemed to be quite a few faces we don't usually see. To crown it all we managed to snag the "Best Display" award and a rather whizzo trophy which had remote to change colours, flash frequency fading an so on.
Unrelated to SIG 144, Malcom also managed to win the "Best in Show" for a single model, with his 1/72 lifeboat. Well done Malcolm !
