Stoke Model Club show - 1st September 2024
The first of the autumn show season events, the Stoke show is a popular event in a nice setting - an agricultural showground, with lots of space, parking and a good little café.
Myself, Emma, Mike and David displayed the usual wide variety of 144th topics to very good interest from the visitors.
Some of my latest builds
Emma's newest bucolic scenes
David's wide array of scratchbuilt and kit bashed Prototypes, French and Argentine aircraft.
Mike's wide array of types, highlighted by the recent ICM KFK as featured in Airfix Magazine and the Mark 1 Vampire with Sun Details engine.
In the competition category, Emma took an excellent 2nd place in the 'Miscellaneous' class with one of her house scenes. Particularly impressive when you see the towering Dora rail gun model she was up against!
She treated herself to some new Rubicon Models as a well done
A few other impressive vignettes that caught my fancy on other tables
A clever way to compress a submarine model for display.
Love animals in dioramas
Nice flow of vehicles and scenery in this one.
Lovely aquatic base.
All in, a good show and worth visiting for anyone in the area.
