First weekend of November, the yearly exhibition Faszination Modellbau took place in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The PMC Bodensee (scale model club Lake Constance) granted myself and two friends 8m tables for a large 1/144 display.

I am happy to share that the SIG144 setups that I could see in the show reports over the years were a true aspiration! We decided to focus on post-war airplanes. Another rule was that each model is presented at least on a simple display underground, not on a table cloth. Last but not least, presenting aerobatic teams in a generous line-up was an intention.

We had an extremely good time and got in touch with other 1/144 addicted persons in the region. I hope that we can continue next year with more people and even more space :D

Btw, one member of the team is Wolfgang Hora. Some of you will know him - he was driving 1/144 for many years in Germany, importing Welsh and other ‚exotic‘ kits 20+ years ago.

Hi Thomas, your groups display is truly eye catching very impressive. I know Wolfgang, we last met at I believe it was the 2016 Telford show, I must get in contact with him again.
I would very much liked to have displayed my Black Arrows, 16 Hunters in formation on your stand.
Thinking about it my models probably wouldn't really fit in with your display, I always try to theme events in aviation history. The history of aircraft manufacturing companies, the 1934 England to Australia Air Race, the Schneider Trophy and many other subjects.
Congratulations on putting on a great display.
