Showcase 2023

Post by TerryP »

Some photo's from the show. On the day we were given a much appreciated extra table. The collection contained the history of the Gloster and the de Havilland aircraft companies. Also included was a miniature history of flying training in the UK and the development of the British helicopter plus a number of smaller mainly aviation presentations.

Magnificent, and especially the Piaggio PC.7
Can we see it in Telford?

Here are 2 photos of mine, much too static, and which does not give an idea of what this plane was.

Great idea to present it in the water and in flight. Well done

Teddybeer, your Airbattle site is very impressive, I had no idea how big it is. Your PC7 is very impressive too, seeing it makes me I realise that I should make some sort of back ground for my model. I can't believe that they thought that it could ever have flown, if it had of taken off I am sure that the landing would have been suicidal.
I see that you have shown an Mitsubishi A5 Claude, is this model available now? I have started carving one but I would really like 2 or 3 of them so I would very much like to buy some kits if that is possible?
Regards
Terry

I'm asking Mr. Chaubet (who makes them in metal) but I don't know if I can get them for Telford.
I will keep you informed and if this is not possible, I will find a solution to have them sent to you from England and avoid fees and taxes.

Teddybeer, reference the A5M, HLJ list a resin one but it is presently out of stock, Sweet have done one in the past but I can't find one of them either, I will have a search round at Telford. I hadn't thought of metal but if you could make enquiries that would be great.
