IPMS Stafford 'Stoke' 2022

The SIg had a great day out at Stafford yesterday. Huw, David, Tim, Emma and YT managed to show nearly 250 models (a record we think - possibly more as some of Tim 'n Emma's dioramas counted as one but had several models on!)
Emma's delightful buildings attracted a lot of interest, and it was noticeable that an increasing number of ladies appeared to be interested / fully engaged (as opposed to simply being there because their significant others were) We also had the first public airings of restored Mike McEvoy models - my TSR2 and David's Sperrin.

- Huw fielded a flock of rotary wings, a Japanese collection and his new Ukrainian Sukhoi.

- I brought along the Luftwaffe, 'Project Cancelled' and another ex-McEvoy item, TSR2 with Blue Water

- Team Tim 'n Emma generated a huge amount of interest, bringing a fresh perspective to the scale (not to mention considerable skill and modelling ability !)

- David's unique 'industry of prototypes' collection was superbly presented as ever

- seen on another stand was a veritable geschwader of Fw 190 Doras......apparently he found them on Ebay as a bundle....and they come two in a box !

- Seen on the Mersyside stand a very nice HP 42 alongside an absolutely delightful GeeBee racer
