Not only Crusty but it has a red nose - whoever chooses NATO code names has a sense of humour!
The Zvesda model....very impressed, absolutely superb detail and packaging. Won't be taking it to shows - the u/c is SO scale-thin it's very fragile.

- Crusty - Tu-134 UBL
Also finally called the Mirages finished - VERY hard work to beat these into shape.

Those NATO codenames sure are odd choices, a friend suggested they were often deliberately weird to mock the Soviet efforts.
Flogger and Frogfoot spring to mind!
The Mirages look great, which kit are they from?

Cheers Tim
They are the Mark 1 kit - a model that is best described as having lovely decals............
Can't believe there's not been a 'mainstream' proper model of such an iconic aircraft....but then B-17 ? Ju88?

These all look very fine. The story about NATO codenames for Soviet equipment used to be that they were chosen to be hard to confuse over radio telephony but I find that a little hard to reconcile with some of the choices.
