Farman F1020 (scratch built - wood and plastic card) was built to test the effectiveness of a semi-circular wing format. The conventional tail surfaces could be disconnected in flight by the pilot and the aircraft controlled by the trailing edge surfaces. Although it worked satisfactorily the wing induced too much drag to be useful.

I don't think there's much prospect of a Trumpeter kit of this in the near future, do you? Have you got the Midland Counties "Flying Saucer Aircraft" book? I don't think it mentions this one though it covers a lot of aircraft that are not round at all.
