Brampton, Cambridgeshire - 2025

Brampton is probably our longest haul on the circuit aside from Telford, but definitely worth the round trip. A very well organised event with good facilities, lots of trade and exhibitors. Being a more southern event it attracts a lot of clubs from below the Trent, giving a different selection of models to see compared to the northern events.

Emma, myself and Terry were displaying.

A sweep of airfield and armour vignettes, overwatched by Emma's always popular bucolic scenes.

Terry had a great array of types, all scratchbuilt, mostly from wood, representing aircraft from the earliest days to modern types.

We met a new SIG member, Josh, who was displaying as part of the Southend model club and had a few nicely put together vignettes.

There was also a good display of multiple engine types but unfortunately I didn't find out the modeller.

Driving up the A1 home, a stop off at an OK Diner was essential to finish off a superb day.

Well done you three. Looks like a nice event.

The Hastings / Stratocruiser / 707s caught my eye too.
