Thank you “Keithley” for a great show. This is my view of a great day out. Tim somehow arranged an extra bit of space for our SIG so that all attending and wanting to show off the SIG,s building efforts to anyone attending the show was catered for. For my part I was given almost 3 whole tables which I hope I put to good use, however it was too small to display all I had brought so I placed my model of the “Revenge” on the competition tables. I was so busy with the members of the public and other club's members wanting to know about different things of the models I had on display that it took me one and a half hours to eat a small meat & potato pie! It also meant I forgot to take any Photos. Now that's not a complaint as I meet some interesting people and that's why we were showing off our models. I had my youngest grandson with me, so he also displayed some scenes and also entered the competition where he won 1st & 2nd in the class he had entered. As I was placing the “Revenge” on the competition tables I meet a member of the “Merseyside branch who was also entering two really nice boat models, Ken was his name, and we got talking ship models as you do! The result of the competition was I took 1st in class for the 2nd year running (this time with a 1/144 model) with Ken coming a really close 2nd However I would not have minded losing to either of his boats.
Thank you “Keithley” for a wonderful day and to Emma for getting me to judge the “Keithley” table. May the fun continue.

And here’s an overview of the SIG’s tables. Huw’s new P-3 is at the far end.
Re: Keithley 2025

It was a really enjoyable show day.

Saturday was a bit more fraught with lots of tables and chairs to carry.

The SIG showed up in style with Huw and David F putting on a great display of aircraft big and small.

Malcom was able to fill the extra tables I blagged with a great maritime collection, while his grandson had a lovely little 144th armoured collection on one end, with Emma and I sneaking a little at the other end. I did have more 144th on display at our club table but didn't get time to photograph it.

A modeller from the Bridlington & Wolds club had a lovely array of Me-262s including some of the Retrokit conversions, sadly I didn't catch who built them.

With all packed away, it was time for a high speed break down and a very pleasantly short drive home.
