Mildenhall, 7th June 2025.

SIG144 had a generous allocation of three tables on the stage at the friendly Mildenhall show, this Saturday.

Terry displayed some of his amazing scratch built creations and dioramas, which attracted plenty of attention, while I enjoyed the opportunity to show large USAF types which once graced the local skies.

There were some lovely offerings in 144 on other tables, including this RC-135 by Rick Smith from the local club and some clever use of mirrors!

I welcomed the opportunity to chat with local photographer and author Bob Archer, whose name will be familiar to anyone interested in big USAF types. Such was the pleasant atmosphere of the show, that when it came to packing up time, no-one seemed to want to go home! All in all, a grand day out.

The very mention of Mildenhall conjures fond memories of Bud, Burgers and Blackbirds.............

Good to see what two members can do - Terry's scratchbuilds never fail to impress (and inform) and of course your heavy metals were spot-on for the venue.

Nice one gentlemen!
