Scottish Nationals, Perth 2024

Post by MikeV »

Once again the SIG sallied forth for the two-day Scots nats on 27 / 28th April.

The Dewar Centre is an excellent location and we had ample space to eventually show no less than 315 models (plus another 20 or so on Alastair's club stand) something of a record I think. Special mention for Connor who not only assisted with the stand - fielding the usual barrage of questions with aplomb - but won a trophy in the competition with a superb 'racing' P-63 - nice one!

Much favourable comment was had and the recent trend towards 'grouping' (by manufacturer or type) seems to be finding favour with the spectators.

Unbelievably we had insufficient space on our display so Alastair also showed what 144 can do on his 'home' stand

A very effective illustration of 144 benifits. 12 Spitfires on a base that would only accommodate one in 1/48
