St Ives 24th September 2023

Post by MikeV »

The SIG had a crackin' day out at St Ives (no, not the Cornwall one) on Sunday.

Huge thanks to Terry for organising it. Brampton club (whose show it is) always have a slick operation so set-up was greatly aided by Terry having got the table ready for David and YT when we got there. Expecting there just to be the three Musketeers it was a pleasure to have Callum and Ian turn up (with their club from Kent)

We were treated to Terry's amazing Gloster collection as well as David's very Dan Daresian space craft both of which attracted a lot of attention. Callum showed some of his excellent work, including Tonkas and Typhoons. I filled the gaps in, giving the Luftwaffe their first airing for a while.

Our Supreme Leader (Paul Reagan IPMS President)was present so couldn't resist telling him that a number of SIG members joined IPMS specifically so they could join us (you won't regret it, honest !)

A well known magazine editor was seen perusing the stand too so fingers crossed. Lovely day - thanks everybody
we may only be little but we pack a lot in.
