Lincoln (nee 'Newark') 23rd Oct 22

Post by MikeV »

Completely new venue and very different from the Racecourse at Southwell. Typical school hall (long way from car park to models in the rain!) but we had a great day.

Sadly Tim and Emma couldn't make it at the last minute but David Shaw arrived to our delight - it was really good to see him and as ever he added some unique subjects to the table. A table I might add that won the 'best display' trophy - we are having a good run this year thanks I believe to the extraordinary range of varied, interesting and high-quality subjects you all bring to the SIG.

To ice the cake Huw picked up a first for his 'pixelated' Ukranian Sukhoi and my U boat also got a first...........and the bacon butties were pretty good too!

Next stop Telford...what a year!

No surprise that the Sukhoi and U-Boot took awards - magnificent models both.

Looks like a really good display and glad the event, other than the weather, went well.
