Just an update on the de Havilland model show that was held in the DH Museum yesterday. We didn't have the biggest display but the setting was perfect for a themed aviation display and SIG144 certainly had the right theme for it. We fielded 101 144th scale DH models, they covered the history of DH aircraft in general plus 9 Canadian DH Antarctic survey aircraft and 3 DHA (Australian) manufactured aircraft. The display also included the 1934 England to Australia Air Race, this was because DH won the race with their Comet and also achieved 7th place with a Dragon Rapide. It was good to see Callum and his dad at the show, we don't seem to have many SIG members down this way. How ever I do believe we may have recruited two new members on the day.
