HMS Poppy

Hi. Thought I would add HMS Poppy for Remembrance day. As I had already built Revells 1/72 HMS Bluebell I decided to build the 1/144 kit as HMS Poppy by adding extra 20mm guns

And the rust spots and other fatigue of Atlantic service are just right. Perfect.

That is a cracking job Malcolm - I really like good ship models and I may have to hit the stash - I think I can feel a submarine coming on !!

Building a Fletcher class destroyer at the moment so with HMS Poppy I would think again about building a sub! :D

Hi all. Hope everyone are still safe and well. As you can see from the following photos Poppy has now been assigned a crew and has put to sea. Also has obtained a protective screen. Hope you like it.

Malcolm that's lovely - where do you source your crew figures? I have found some 3D printed RN figures from North Star and some nice resin ones from David Gunthwaite but otherwise a bit sparse.
