Forgot to add - the Heroes figures look excellent and and I see there is a very interesting range of figures and accessories on their site, if a way could be found of smuggling them into the UK.

After two big aircraft, I felt like going to a miniature. This was an experimental fighter prototype from about 1940. Not sure whether to call it a scratchbuild or a kitbash: the front fuselage came from a Zvezda I-16.

Wallis did manage to make the Wild Goose configuration fly. I always think of Wallis as a prime example of being far ahead of his time, but not necessarily in the right direction. I don't think there's much prospect of a Trumpeter kit of this in the near future, do you? Have you got the Midland Counties "Flying Saucer Aircraft" book? I don't think it mentions this one though it covers a lot of aircraft that are not round at all.
