Lovely model - I do like your choice of subjects.
Eric Brown was a master of dry wit - seems to be part of Naval training....pithy signals with semaphore (an early form of Twitter)was probably the cause.
he said of the Blackburn Roc "...aptly named if wrongly spelt..."

Re: Emma's pastoral scenes
Hi Emma Good to see some landscape scenes - N gauge is close enough for our purposes methinks - I also note Domi has done a landrover.....hope we'll be able to get them (Just need a Bloodhound missile and a Rock Ape with an Alsation...............older members will understand) I've been looking at r...

Re: MiGs in Ethiopia - Eduard MiG-21/Academy MiG-23
Nice job Tim
That diorama perfectly encapsulates how far the hobby has come - the Eduard MiG is light years from the old (crown?)tooling - maybe thirty years old? (anybody know the exact lineage?)
Still great satisfaction to be had from fettling it into shape!

Looks like some tentative moves towards shows. Stoke are proposing a show provisionally booked for 15th August. We have requested a table if it goes ahead. We are also booked for Spalding in September. If SMW is to go ahead we will presumably know in August. In all cases perhaps members could advise...

Re: Captured Bf109 G-10 (Mark 1 Models)
The troops are clearly from the little-known Mountain Trolls Division, together with their medical officer who is of course an Igor. Otto the photographer originally hailed from Transylvania. He mysteriously vanished after the photo was taken.

Not often you see a Gashapon so well converted - lovely work David - wasn't there a similar 'Helldiverish' offering from Brewster too?
Re: Crusty
Cheers Tim
They are the Mark 1 kit - a model that is best described as having lovely decals............
Can't believe there's not been a 'mainstream' proper model of such an iconic aircraft....but then B-17 ? Ju88?

Crusty
Not only Crusty but it has a red nose - whoever chooses NATO code names has a sense of humour! The Zvesda model....very impressed, absolutely superb detail and packaging. Won't be taking it to shows - the u/c is SO scale-thin it's very fragile. IMG_6152.JPG Also finally called the Mirages fini...

Re: It flies but also, it sails and it moves.....
Lovely job Yves - I have one of these in the stash but haven't dared build it as yet ( how did you get on with the window glazing?)! These cranes have been in use for many years so a big choice of crashed aircraft is possible. Agree about the backstory....that's going to cost a lot of beer in the Wa...
