That's very nice - I have the Bronco job 'in stock' - and I have to say wondered why the davits were all turned outboard on their instructions ?
Currently still wrestling with the K'fisch Kutter but making slow progress !!

BOLTON 2024
First show of the year under our belt ! Bolton show held at the still-signposted-as Macron stadium is a massive event and like SMW had a huge turn-out that bodes well for the hobby - having scoped out the correct places to park for unloading last year we braved the wind and rain to find ourselves on...

Re: C-97 and EC-121
Looking Good - I have a couple of Revell Connies in the stash - lovely aircraft. Minicraft are a bit curate's egg - I agree with you - they are attractive subjects - best ones in the range are the Catalina, B-47 and B-58 - to be fair a lot of Roden's output has similar problems but in all cases ther...
Re: Canopies
Point of order m'lud 'materials that grew rather than manufactured' A great deal of the plastic we use is oil-based which means that 50 million years ago it was trees I would submit a greener use than burning the stuff........ SIG144 - saving the planet! That said unbounded respect for our members w...
Re: Canopies
For what my two-penn'orth is worth I always try to go for clear canopies. Some kits - especially resins - have solid mouldings intended to be painted. Clear parts in our scale are often too thick. If they are irretrievable as clear items they should be painted on the outside as internal refraction w...

Hi Malcolm I didn't know that faller water texture was still about - I'll seek some out. Lovely job! Re the NeOmega HDML it was at Telford - it looks stunning and I would have got one except that British Phantoms had somewhat blown the budget! I know at least one member of the 'Yacht Club' was unabl...

Scale Model World 2023
Well....what a show !! This year felt much more like the old days with a buzz and positivity that was palpable, under the new system we paid for extra tables but this brought certainty to planning (it was essentially a lottery before)and you all rose to the occasion magnificently. We tried to vary t...

Lincoln 15th October 2023
The SIG had a great day out at Lincoln yesterday, lovely Autumn sunshine and a friendly venue The two Davids, Hart and Ferrari Emma, Tim and YT found ourselves with a super 12' double depth table in a sunny hall. The low sun resulted in some squinting during set up (and at one moment some concern wh...
