Keighley 2024
Here's a rather belated report of the Keighley show which we attended on the "Two-shows" weekend in September. At the show were David Hart, David Ferrari, Malcolm Richardson (plus grandsons x2) and myself. Tim and Emma were both present but rather tied up with being part of the organising ...

Re: Exercise Reforger 1982 - M60A1 in Bavaria
Tim,
Only just got round to looking at this, - it's really excellent, and I particularly admire your ability to ferret out stuff from the most esoteric manufacturers! Will we see it a t Telford '24?
PS, I think REFORGER was actually intended as a shortening of REarmament FOR GErmany.

RISE144 bits
Some of you will have spotted RISE144 in the manufacturers section of the Forum, they produce really nice components and figures in 1/144 and some (whisper it) 1/72 and 1/48. For anybody who hasn't already tried these they'r excellent, - I've bought loads for F-16, F-14 and F-15 and the prices are e...

Re: E3G Sentry and more
Dave, Yes, the nose does look a bit stubby when viewed from the side, and slopes downwards from the windscreen a bit too much I think, although it's a bit hard to tell with the lump of the sensor pod underneath. I guess it could be improved by more sanding of the top surface.

E3G Sentry and more
This is my attempt at the Academy re-release of the E3G Sentry, - it still builds up nicely. Also, a work in progress, an Aero L29 in tiger (zebra?) stripes - stripes courtesy decals produced for (finger) nail art!

B 36 (plural)
Here are a pair of B-36 I built as a back-to-back comparison between the old Hobbycraft kit (here in the BM-33 Arctic paint) and the newer Roden late version with the jet boost. Surprisingly, I thought the Hobbycraft kit to be better detailed and easier to build, although both need serious work on t...

Hs 146 Cargo
Here's a build of the old Revell Hs 146 STA tactical lifter proposed for the RAF but never taken up. A prototype flew in the South East Asia-alike camo.
C141
Just done this C141B in European 1 from the Roden kit. Went together pretty well and the Metallic Details thrust reverser buckets are well worth it. Gary Hatcher has it so it may appear in Scale Aircraft Modelling.
